Sting Impersonator to Perform at Vegas Casino Tribute Show

Andreas Krumkuhler of Berlin is the new addition to the successful tribute show Legends in Concert at the Imperial Palace Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Krumkuhler will be performing as the legendary rock singer Sting.
Krumkuhler performance includes a medley of Sting hits from the time he was a lead singer at the Police as well as from his solo career. Krumkuhler performance replaces the Prince impersonation. The current line up of the Legends in Concert includes impersonators of Bobby Darin, Garth Brooks, Britney Spears, the Temptations and Elvis Presley.
The Legends in Concert is an exclusive production of the Imperial Palace Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. The award winning tribute show is running for its 24th year in a row and it features live musicians, singers and dancers. The show runs every day except Sunday at 7:30 pm and 10 pm. Poker News Backgammon announced that the Dual World Backgammon champion Bill Robertie had joined the website team. Bill would provide backgammon content including basic and advanced strategy.
Bill Robertie won the World Champion of backgammon at Monte Carlo twice: in 1983 and again in 1987. He also won the Istanbul World Cup in 1994 and the Pro Am at the Bahamas in 1993.
Bill Robertie is also the author of several backgammon books including , Advanced Backgammon, Backgammon for Serious Players, Backgammon for Winners, and more. In addition, Bill also authored a number of chess books including Easy Endgame Strategies and Master Checkmate Strategy.

Pinnacle lawsuit against insurance companies

Pinnacle Entertainment, Inc. announced that, on August 1, 2006, it filed suit in the United States District Court for the District of Nevada against three of its excess insurance carriers. The suit relates to the loss incurred by Pinnacle as a result of Hurricane Katrina at its Casino Magic property in Biloxi, Mississippi. Collectively, the three insurers provide $300 million of coverage, in excess of $100 million of coverage provided to Pinnacle by other insurers. In total, Pinnacle's policies applicable to the Hurricane Katrina loss provide an aggregate of up to $400 million of coverage for loss caused by a weather catastrophe occurrence (as defined by the policies) and up to $100 million of inclusive coverage for loss caused by a flood occurrence. The three insurers are Allianz Global Risks US Insurance Company, Arch Specialty Insurance Company and RSUI Indemnity Company.
