Acey Deucy
Acey Deucy is a variation of backgammon in which all the checkers start off the board. The rules of this game are very similar to the rules of backgammon, besides some differences that make it a bit harder and fast paced. Another difference is that this variation has more place for luck, since that if a player rolls an acey deucy, he has many chances to advance his checkers without disturbance.
Rules
- All the checkers begin off board, unlike regular backgammon.
- All the checkers can move and hit just like in regular backgammon. A player can move his checker even if one or more checkers haven%u2019t been brought in yet.
- Acey Deucy means rolling a 1-2. If a player rolls acey deucy he can play any double that he wishes and then he can roll the dice again.
- All the other rules are just like in the regular backgammon.
Strategy
This game has a bigger element of luck and chance than regular backgammon and its pace is a lot faster too. The goal point of acey deucy is to make advance points in the earliest stage of the game. Since that 1-2 rolls are quite deadly for players try to block your opponent from a play of 1 or 2 because if you block them they will lose the bonus double and the extra roll, this will definitely ease your pain.
